Overview

The two-year Radiotherapy programme trains technicians who support the delivery of high-energy radiation treatment, mainly for cancer. Students learn to operate radiotherapy devices safely, prepare patients for treatment and manage patient safety processes. Radiotherapy is one of the three main cancer treatment methods alongside chemotherapy and surgery. The programme opened in the 2025–2026 academic year in the School of Health Services and aims to make treatment follow ethical and scientific principles. Teaching is in Turkish.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission through the YKS TYT score type and ÖSYM central placement. The 2026 guide lists 29 places, a lowest placement score of 330.6 and a success rank of 548,869.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
