Overview

The Economics and Finance programme responds to the fact that economists and financiers often work apart, so trade volumes in financial markets now far exceed the value of goods and services. It is designed to produce graduates who combine economic and financial knowledge, are productive and innovative, and speak at least two languages. The programme aims to give students a shared language for both disciplines and an understanding of how financial markets relate to the real economy.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission is through Türkiye's national university entrance examination YKS (Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı), with central placement by ÖSYM using the EA (equal weight) score type. In the 2026 guide the programme offered 68 places; the lowest placed candidate scored 441.4 (success rank 7,365). Placement variants: 50% discount, fee-paying (Ücretli), full scholarship (Burslu). Programmes taught in a foreign language require passing the university's language proficiency exam or an accepted certificate, otherwise a preparatory year. International students apply directly to the university under its international (YÖS) quota.

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
