The four-year Primary School Teaching bachelor's programme at Balıkesir University's Necatibey Faculty of Education trains classroom teachers for the first stage of primary education. It began admitting students in 1998-1999 and combines subject-area knowledge, teaching profession knowledge, general culture and practice courses taught in theory and applied form.
Practical courses run over three semesters under the supervision of practice instructors and practice teachers, in cooperation with the Faculty of Education, provincial education directorates and practice primary schools. Students take elective courses alongside compulsory ones, and the programme includes an internship.

Admission Requirements: Placed centrally by ÖSYM through YKS, score type EA. 40 places; lowest placement score 380.1 (success rank 76,903). Minimum success rank of 300,000 in EA required.
