The Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme is offered by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Başkent University, which was founded in 1996. The English-medium programme started in the 2020–2021 academic year. It aims to prepare engineers who can apply theoretical knowledge in practice, solve engineering problems and contribute to technological development.
Students develop projects and research under the guidance of the academic staff, and graduation projects cover the design, implementation, testing and evaluation of engineering solutions. The department had 7 professors, 5 associate professors, 6 doctoral faculty members, 2 instructors with doctorates and 7 research assistants in 2026. An application for MÜDEK accreditation has been submitted and the evaluation is continuing.
