Overview

The two-year associate degree programme in Back-End Software Development, run within the Software, Application Development and Analysis department of the vocational school, trains technical staff for scalable, secure and performance-oriented server-side software. Students gain practical skills in server languages and platforms such as Node.js, Python with Django or Flask, Java with Spring, and C#/.NET Core, databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB, and RESTful and GraphQL API design. The programme also covers microservices, authentication and authorisation, testing, CI/CD, system analysis, algorithms, data structures and cloud technologies.

Admission Requirements: Central placement through ÖSYM TYT, score type TYT. 30 places; lowest placement score 253.4 (success rank 1,450,669).

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
