Overview

The two-year Anaesthesia associate degree at the Şanlıurfa Health Services Vocational School trains anaesthesia technicians who assist physicians with pre-operative preparation, anaesthesia and analgesia procedures, and monitoring of vital functions during surgery. The programme covers anaesthesia, intensive care and pain units. Students gain technical knowledge of the equipment used in anaesthesia and intensive care units. Students must complete a summer internship and graduate with 120 ECTS, and graduates receive the title Anestezi Teknikeri.

Admission Requirements: Central YKS placement through ÖSYM, TYT score type, 32 places, lowest placement score 366.2 (success rank 323,217).

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
