Overview

Biomedical Engineering is a multidisciplinary programme that applies engineering knowledge and methods to health needs. It bridges medicine and engineering so that health services become more effective, safe and accessible. The programme aims to train engineers who can analyse health-related problems, understand clinical processes and develop engineering solutions in that context. Teaching combines theoretical courses with practical work and encourages student participation.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Central placement through YKS on the SAY score type by ÖSYM; 13 places; lowest placement score 364.9 (success rank 165,532). Programme preference requires a success rank of 300,000 or better on this score type.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
