Overview

The two-year Anesthesia programme is taught in Turkish and is full time. Students learn to support anaesthesia and resuscitation in operating and recovery units, including pre-operative preparation, patient monitoring during surgery and post-operative care. Theory is paired with practical work, and several courses use project-based teaching. The programme includes a 20-working-day summer internship at the end of the second semester. Graduates receive an associate degree in Anesthesia and the title Anestezi Teknikeri, working as health technicians.

Admission Requirements: Admission through the national YKS exam with the TYT score type and ÖSYM central placement each July. 69 places; lowest placement score 357.2 (success rank 369,592).

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
