The two-year electrical technology programme is the first programme of the Elbistan Vocational School, opened in 1990. It teaches basic electrical knowledge and the practical application of electrical technologies, with the aim of training intermediate staff for public and private sector electrical work. Students work to develop cooperation with industry, improve teaching environments and bring equipment up to contemporary standards.
Graduates receive an associate diploma after completing the programme's 120 ECTS credits with a grade point average of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale. Graduates may transfer through DGS to related bachelor's programmes. The programme runs for two years with 49 quota places and 8 additional places, and it includes an internship.
