Program details

Overview

The Architecture bachelor's programme trains architects with social awareness, environmental sensitivity and a sense of responsibility. The department was founded in 1992 within the Engineering-Architecture Faculty and moved to the Faculty of Architecture in 2010; undergraduate teaching began in the 2013-2014 academic year, and graduate studies are also offered. The programme aims for an international standard and encourages students to work with members of other departments and disciplines. Summer schools, workshops and design competitions broaden their experience, and practising architects and alumni are invited as jury members or speakers.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission is through Türkiye's national university entrance examination YKS (Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı), with central placement by ÖSYM using the SAY (numerical) score type. In the 2026 guide the programme offered 20 places; the lowest placed candidate scored 323.9 (success rank 246,689). Candidates must rank within the top 250,000 in that score type. International students apply directly to the university under its international (YÖS) quota.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
