The Architecture programme prepares critical, independent thinkers who understand the social impact of architecture and can design buildings that are aesthetically pleasing, structurally safe, technically sound, environmentally healthy and comfortable. The programme draws on an interdisciplinary range of courses.
The first year builds foundations in mathematics, physics, arts and culture, design and architectural drawing. The second year covers architectural history, structural design and building construction. Design studios form the core of the curriculum, and later years add theory, professional practice and summer practice in offices and construction sites.
