Overview

The Chemical Technology associate programme at Siirt's Vocational School of Technical Sciences has been running since 2009 and is a two-year, four-semester course of 120 ECTS taught in Turkish. The first year includes general courses such as computing, general chemistry and mathematics. The second year covers analytical, inorganic, physical, organic and biochemistry. The programme aims to produce intermediate staff with basic chemistry knowledge who can carry out chemical analyses. Graduates act as a bridge between chemical engineers and chemists in the chemical industry. The programme includes an internship.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission through the national YKS exam with ÖSYM central placement, using the TYT score type. The 2026 guide lists 25 places and a lowest placement score of 262 (success rank 1,330,147).

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
