Overview

The four-year bachelor programme combines mathematics and physics with the theoretical and applied fields of chemistry, including analytical, inorganic, biochemistry, physical and organic chemistry. The curriculum includes compulsory and elective courses, laboratory work and a graduation project. The programme aims to develop skills in solving chemical problems, conducting experimental work, evaluating data and presenting scientific results. The department began undergraduate teaching in 2009-2010.

Admission Requirements: Admission through the national ÖSYM exam with the SAY score type (MF2 per Bologna) under Article 5 of the Siirt University associate and bachelor regulation. 30 places; lowest placement score 248.9 (success rank 541,216).

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
