Overview

The Chemical Engineering bachelor's programme at Siirt's Faculty of Engineering runs for four years in Turkish. It is organised into three branches: process and reactor design, chemical technologies, and basic operations and thermodynamics. It combines mathematics, science and engineering knowledge to solve chemical engineering problems. Students learn to analyse and design systems under realistic constraints and to use modern techniques and tools. Credits total 240 ECTS. The programme includes an internship. Graduates receive the title Kimya Mühendisi and may work in national and international institutions.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Admission through the national YKS exam with ÖSYM central placement, using the SAY score type. The 2026 guide lists 10 places. The programme requires a minimum success rank of 300,000 in the SAY score type.

Application Details

Application Process: Turkish applicants list the programme among their choices (tercih) in ÖSYM's central placement after the YKS results each July; international applicants apply directly to the university's international student office under the YÖS quota, usually between May and August.
