AA/AS in Agricultural Mechanization

The Mechanized Agriculture program focuses on operating and maintaining the machinery used in farming and related industries. Students practice with tractors, harvesters and other equipment through a mix of lab work and classroom instruction. An associate degree gives graduates a broad base for supervisory roles on the service side of equipment upkeep. Certificates of achievement and shorter completion certificates let learners concentrate on narrower skills, such as heavy equipment repair, diesel engine systems, entry-level shop work or electrical troubleshooting on mobile machines. Graduates may find work fixing heavy machines, overseeing farm implements, or supporting industries such as construction, mining and materials handling. The program belongs to the Agriculture, Nutrition, and Culinary Arts pathway and uses the MCAG course prefix.
