This transfer option in Computer Information Systems is built for flexibility, so students can tailor their schedule to the requirements of the four-year school they plan to attend. Bristol teaches many technical courses that four-year institutions often do not offer. Students are advised to begin with CIS 111 unless they already have computer experience, and that course may transfer. Credit earned elsewhere for CIS or CIT courses needs approval from the department chair or a full-time faculty member. Recent graduates have continued at Bridgewater State, Rhode Island College, Roger Williams, Bryant and UMass Dartmouth. The college takes part in MassTransfer and holds articulation agreements that guarantee admission and credit transfer.
