MA/MS in Animal Sciences

Cal Poly's Animal Science Department offers graduate study leading to a Master of Science in Agriculture, with the specialization in Animal Science. The degree is housed within the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences graduate offerings, which is where admission rules, deadlines, funding information and contacts are published. Students are guided by a group of faculty advisors who supervise master's candidates in this specialization. One of them also serves as the coordinator for the graduate program, so that person is a natural first contact for prospective applicants with questions. The university has been recognized by a national college guidebook as the top master's-level institution in the West across both public and private sectors for 2024. Applicants should consult the college-level graduate page for full details before applying.
