The Professional Science Master's in Biomanufacturing and Biotechnology is an online degree for people starting or advancing a career in the biosciences. Instead of a thesis, students complete an internship of about half a year, which may be arranged as a project at their current employer.
Coursework combines bioprocessing, bioprocess design, tissue and cell engineering, biotech-oriented molecular biology and sustainable manufacturing with business and leadership training. An industry advisory board guides the curriculum, and partner companies provide mentoring. Graduates may become bioprocess engineers, biomanufacturing specialists or cell and tissue engineers.
Applicants should review the departmental expectations, speak with a program representative about assistantships and other funding, and begin the online application once they are ready. Detailed coursework and credit rules are kept in the university catalog, so questions about the plan of study are best sent to the department. Financial aid guidance is also available through the central aid office.
