BA/BS in Accounting and Related Services

Fordham's business school has taught accounting since its founding, and the school notes that many seniors move into jobs at the Big Four firms. The area is recognised in U.S. News rankings of undergraduate accounting programs. At Rose Hill students can pursue accounting as a major, a primary or secondary concentration, or a minor. Four major options exist: Public Accounting, Public Accountancy, Applied Accounting and Finance, and Accounting Information Systems. Some lead toward dual degrees aimed at CPA licensure, and a five-year option exists for licensure. At Lincoln Center accounting is available as a secondary concentration or as a route toward the CPA exam when combined with a global finance emphasis. Sample courses cover auditing, taxation of businesses and ethical reporting. Recent students and alumni of the school have held internships or staff roles at major accounting and professional services firms, and minor requirements are published separately.
