BA/BS in Business Administration, Management and Operations

Management training here is treated as both a skill and an art, built on the observation that good managers are rarely born that way. The Gabelli School pairs this study with a focus on leadership, so graduates are prepared to guide others and not only to administer processes. The courses concentrate on sound decision-making and on collaborating with people from varied backgrounds. Students who become comfortable with these techniques tend to stay composed under pressure and handle tense business situations with tact. Students and graduates in this area have held internships and jobs at a mix of employers across media, retail, advertising, real estate and other industries, which shows the range of organizations drawn to this preparation and the flexibility of the training.
