MA/MS in Education, General

The Interdisciplinary concentration of the Master of Education suits students whose career goals are not met by the other education concentrations. Examples include changing fields, working in community education or outreach, teaching at a community college, or developing training materials for an organization. Teachers can also use it to shape a master's degree around their own needs. Students study two content areas drawn from graduate programs across the university's three colleges and plan their course of study with an advisor. Evening online and blended courses are designed for working professionals, and the combination of two fields lets learners link their studies to personal or professional aims. The program is offered by Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland, a University System of Maryland institution. Prospective students can use the program page to review requirements and next steps, ask for information and begin an application. Detailed course listings and requirements are published on the same page for students planning their studies.
