MA/MS in History

The History and Sociology of Technology master's and Science at Georgia Tech builds insight into how technology and science sit inside a broad historical and social setting. It treats technical knowledge as something produced by people in particular contexts. Students examine how scientific and technological developments relate to the societies around them. The program suits those interested in the human side of technical fields, whether for professional work or further study. As a master's-level program at Georgia Tech, it is aimed at students who already hold a first degree. The institute's catalog entry gives the formal requirements, and applicants should read it before planning their studies. Georgia Tech publishes the full course listing in its online catalog, which is the place to confirm admission conditions, timelines, and any later changes to the curriculum.
