BA/BS in Criminal Justice and Corrections

Iona University's Criminal Justice major confers a Bachelor of Arts and prepares students to lead in public safety. Graduates may pursue paths in law enforcement, probation and parole, justice administration, criminology, corrections and victims' services. Faculty are active in the field, advise students individually and involve them in research while introducing them to professional networks. Classes draw on recent criminology scholarship and practices backed by evidence. Students can also complete internships at respected agencies around the New York region and farther afield, gaining hands-on experience before graduation. The degree suits students who want to serve their communities in public safety roles. Iona is based in New Rochelle, New York, and undergraduates on this path benefit from advising and smaller classes. Prospective students can apply through the Common App, and transfer applicants have their own application route.
