MA/MS in Civil Engineering

The master's degree in civil engineering is administered by the department that also covers construction and environmental engineering. It gives students a broad grounding in fundamentals plus familiarity with newer and developing technologies. Enrollment may be either full or part time. The department maintains laboratories for hydraulics, environmental work, materials such as soils, and structural testing, and a Water Quality Center is linked to it. Because the program is STEM-designated, international students may qualify for an extended period of practical training. The page names structural engineer and water resource engineer among possible careers. Applicants can consult sections on requirements, deadlines, financial aid and the Trinity Fellows Program. The Graduate School also holds information sessions where an admissions counselor explains the application and admission process.
