BA/BS in Artificial Intelligence and Decision Making (Course 6-4)

The Artificial Intelligence and Decision Making program is an undergraduate course of study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, offered through the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department. Students complete it together with the Institute-wide requirements shared by every undergraduate degree, and prospective applicants can use the catalog chart to see how departmental and Institute expectations fit together. Those shared requirements include science subjects, humanities, arts and social sciences, technical electives and a laboratory subject, seventeen subjects in all, along with swimming and physical education. The major itself also calls for at least two subjects that develop communication skills within the field, which students complete as part of their departmental coursework. Discrete mathematics and a computing laboratory subject within the major can fill restricted elective and laboratory requirements. The degree chart lists subjects and units rather than a fixed timetable.
