Cert in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technologies/Technicians

The Electronics Engineering Technology certificate develops the skills technicians need when working on digital and microcomputer electronics. Students who have relevant work experience may be able to receive credit or advanced standing. Learners practice testing, diagnosing and repairing circuits, use modern instruments to locate faults, and become familiar with the basics of analog and digital communication systems. To enroll, applicants need a diploma or equivalent plus two years of algebra and a year of laboratory science, with chemistry or physics preferred. Because course scheduling varies, some required classes may be available only in daytime or only in evening sessions during a given year. Courses finished with a C or higher count toward the related Associate in Applied Science degree in the same field, giving students a path to continue their studies after earning the certificate.
