Overview

This undergraduate admissions page describes the natural resources management major within the forestry and environmental college. Students study ethics, conservation, economics, business, social science and biogeochemistry to prepare for complex questions about renewable resources and ecosystems. Learning happens outdoors as much as indoors: soil, geology, weather and mapping skills, chainsaw handling and timber measurement, plus a long field semester in the university research forest. Admitted students are offered a paid assistantship working beside faculty, and an accelerated route toward a master's degree is available. Entry is open for Fall 2026 only. Prospective students can ask for more information, arrange a campus visit or start an application directly from the program page. Supporting links lead to a sample four-year course plan, degree audit material and the full list of department courses, while the wider site explains housing, dining, tuition, scholarships and entry requirements. Career information and student stories can also be browsed there.
