Cert in Electrical/Electronics Maintenance and Repair Technologies/Technicians

This diploma is meant for people who plan to begin as electricians in industrial or construction settings. Over two semesters, students practice basic wiring and learn how electrical service is put in place. It is not a replacement for an electrical apprenticeship, but it teaches enough to get hired by some electrical contractors, and a number of graduates go on to apprenticeships afterward. The curriculum totals 30 credits. The Downtown Milwaukee Campus offers the program with start dates in August and January. People who thrive here are coordinated with their hands, reasonably strong, able to see colors normally and comfortable working high above the ground. Prerequisites apply, and course requirements can change, so current students should check their personal plan before registering each term.
