AA/AS in Computer Programming

Students in this program learn to create software that can run on many kinds of platforms. Early courses build fundamental programming ability, and later work turns to applications that share processing between servers and user devices, talk to databases and run on several devices at once. Employers need qualified web and software developers in growing numbers, and graduates may also pursue roles in general programming or managing databases. People who succeed here usually concentrate carefully on small details, work well alone and in groups, reason analytically, communicate clearly and stay curious and self-motivated. The two-year associate degree is delivered in person at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus, and students can start in August or January. Graduates leave with practical skills they can show to employers.
