AA/AS in Agricultural Production Operations

This Associate of Applied Science degree trains students for careers in production agriculture and is delivered at the Worthington campus. Learners pick between an agronomy emphasis and an animal science emphasis. The program mixes general education with a large technical core in agriculture. Topics include soil science, weed science, fertility, precision agriculture, animal nutrition, marketing, and farm records and business analysis. Coursework and lab work are closely tied to what the job requires. The degree is aimed at students who intend to enter the field after graduating rather than transfer, though the broad agriculture preparation leaves some flexibility. The catalog entry lists every required course with its credit value. Prospective students can use it to see how technical and general education courses are arranged, and they should confirm their course sequence with an advisor before registering.
