Cert in Accounting and Related Services

The Accounting certificate teaches basic accounting for immediate use at work or as credit toward a longer accounting or business degree. Students concentrate on core accounting principles and practices. The plan has two terms of principles of accounting, a spreadsheet concepts course, and two more business or accounting courses, for sixteen credits. It is offered at Canby, Granite Falls, Jackson, Pipestone, and Worthington, and online. The catalog entry lists every required course with its credit value. Prospective students can use it to see how the program is arranged, and they should confirm their course sequence with an advisor before registering. Questions about locations, scheduling, or how the program fits a longer academic plan can be directed to an academic counselor at the college.
