AA/AS in Plant Sciences

The Plant Science and Precision Agriculture Associate of Science gives students two routes. One leads straight to technical careers in precision agriculture, including soil grid sampling and nutrient planning as well as variable rate application work. The other prepares students to move into a bachelor's degree with an agronomy focus. The plan at the Worthington campus blends general education with biology, chemistry, and agriculture courses. Agriculture classes cover agronomy, soil science, weed science, soil fertility, precision management software, and corn and soybean production. The full plan adds up to sixty credits, with a small block left for electives. The catalog entry lists every required course with its credit value. Prospective students can use it to compare the plan with the requirements of their transfer destination, and they should confirm their course sequence with an advisor before registering.
