AA/AS in Computer Science

Computer Science is a two-year associate of science program for students who plan to complete a bachelor's degree in the field elsewhere. It offers a firm foundation in programming and problem solving, taught through hands-on work in modern computer labs. Students study algorithm design, programming tools, professional communication, and the ethical, legal and security responsibilities of those who write software. The plan also includes general education requirements in English, science, humanities and social science, plus a few electives. The program is built to transfer smoothly into Pennsylvania's public state university network and meets the transfer-oversight standards set by the state's education department.
