AA/AS in Hospitality Administration/Management

Tourism and Hospitality Management is an associate of applied science degree begun in 2019. It prepares students for careers in an industry the college describes as growing quickly, using project-based learning, new coursework and practical internships. Students study hospitality management, meetings and conference planning, destination and nature-based tourism, and hotel and casino operations, along with business mathematics, psychology and communication. Internships have placed students with luxury resorts, hotel companies and national parks. Alumni describe mentorship and affordability as strengths. The degree can lead directly to work in hotels, events and tourism or serve as a step toward further study at another institution. Sample schedules for full-time and part-time study are provided so students can plan their progress through the degree.
