MA/MS in Pastoral Counseling and Specialized Ministries

This counseling master's is rooted in the Franciscan tradition and teaches students to approach counseling with attention to the links between human experience, mental health, and spirituality. People of all faiths and practices are welcome. The curriculum totals twenty courses. Full-time students typically finish within three years and part-time students within four. The program is accredited by CACREP. Two shorter pastoral options also exist: an advanced-study certificate in pastoral counseling and a pastoral care specialist certificate. Student outcomes, certifications, program objectives, graduate assistantships, and careers are each outlined on the program page for applicants comparing options. The structure of the degree gives students time for supervised clinical practice alongside their classes, preparing them for professional counseling work. Prospective students should review the full program page for current requirements and contact details.
