Overview

The Comparative Literature MA is designed for students who want to study literature as an intercultural discipline, set within broader social, cultural and philosophical questions. The department encourages study of literature across national boundaries and cultures. The department does not admit students to the master's degree directly. The only route is the five-year accelerated BA/MA, which is open solely to NYU undergraduates. Interested students are advised to review the College of Arts and Science requirements for the accelerated degree carefully before applying.
