AA/AS in Communication and Media Studies

The communication studies associate of arts gives students a base for careers from advertising and politics to PR, news and health care. It can be taken in a classroom in Bethlehem or fully online, depending on schedule. Learners choose from more than two dozen electives across mass media, commerce, communication technology and stage arts, so the degree can lean toward marketing, stage directing, game design or other directions. The sequence closely mirrors the first half of a bachelor's degree, and the college presents it as one of the stronger community college transfer routes in Pennsylvania. Classes are held on campus. Northampton Community College is a Pennsylvania two-year college with campuses in Bethlehem and the Poconos, and the program page invites prospective students to request information or apply online.
