Overview

Media Arts prepares students for today's media industry, whether they want to operate cameras, cut footage, produce broadcasts or tell stories. Learning happens in working studios for radio, television, audio recording and video. Classes teach editing, sound design, narrative craft, production and managing media projects, combining theory with software, equipment and labs. There are two credential options. The associate degree leads to starting jobs in broadcasting, news and production, such as video editor, field videographer, technician for audio and video, or camera operator for broadcasts. Small classes allow coaching from experienced faculty, and the skills apply to film, marketing and digital content. Interested applicants can ask the college for more details, arrange a visit to the campus, or begin an application directly through its website.
