MA/MS in Statistics

Oakland University offers a Master of Science in Applied Statistics aimed at students who want to put modern statistical methods to work in industry, commerce or government. Coursework is delivered with hybrid options, and classes stay small so students get regular contact with instructors. Learners can follow the traditional statistics track or add a biostatistics concentration. Faculty come from industry and research centres, including the university's Analytics Data Big and Science Data for Center, and bring that experience into the classroom. Graduates move into analytical roles across Michigan and beyond, and the degree also serves as a stepping stone toward doctoral study in statistics. The program is housed in the careers-focused graduate offerings and welcomes applicants who want practical analysis skills they can use right away in conventional and unconventional statistics roles.
