The dietetic internship at OHSU provides the supervised practice that people need before sitting for the registered dietitian exam. The program dates to 1930 and is the longest-running of its kind in the western states. The program holds accreditation from ACEND and leads to a graduate certificate.
Rotations take place through a network of over 300 hospital, community, kitchen and specialty placements, and some can be completed in rural Oregon communities. The university organizes placements and preceptors for each intern.
Applicants should hold or be working toward a graduate degree and have finished, or be on track to finish, a Didactic Program in Dietetics, and hold at least a 3.0 average. Early admission closes October 10, and the last date to apply is January 10, for entry in fall 2027.
