Overview

This post-bachelor's certificate prepares graduates to become Registered Dietitian Nutritionists. It combines graduate-level coursework with 1,000 hours of supervised practice completed in real work settings. Coursework and supervised practice connect classroom learning with the range of settings in dietetics, including clinical practice. Students build the knowledge needed to pass the national registration exam and to work effectively at entry-level dietetics positions. Learning is organized around the skills needed for effective entry-level practice, so graduates can step into professional roles with confidence. Graduates are prepared for roles such as medical nutrition therapy on health care teams, food service management and community nutrition campaigns. The program is offered on the Logan campus, and prospective students can request information or receive advising before applying.
