BA/BS in Computer Science

Computer Science at Pacific Lutheran University suits students drawn to mathematics, science, and engineering who want to build software. The program is part of the College of Natural Sciences and leads to either a Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts. Students work closely with professors in small settings, using whiteboards, code, and hands-on projects such as robotics. The curriculum pairs focused technical training with the broad liberal arts culture of the university. Alumni describe how that mix of specific and general preparation carries into careers in software and into teaching. A minor in Data Science is also offered alongside the major. Prospective students can arrange a campus visit through the admission office and speak with faculty about how the major fits their goals.
