The graduate program in Anthropology at University Park confers a Ph.D. and an M.A. The department brings together social, ecological and evolutionary approaches, including the evolutionary and behavioral biology of humans and other primates.
Dual-title doctoral options exist with Bioethics, Climate Science, Demography, Microbiome Sciences and Transdisciplinary Research on Environment and Society, and some are also open at the master's level. Integrated undergraduate and graduate pathways connect with Classics, and a joint M.D./Ph.D. is offered with the College of Medicine.
Entry is in the fall semester, applications go through the Graduate School, and the department sets its own deadline in December.
Prospective applicants should read the current bulletin entry for program requirements, campus availability and application steps, and apply through the Graduate School. The program head and graduate faculty listed for the program can answer questions about fit, funding and expected timelines for completing the degree.
