PGCert in Communication and Media Studies

This online graduate certificate in communication is offered through the humanities school at Pittsburg State University. It suits working professionals who want advanced preparation in the field, and it also serves instructors whose master's degree is in a different discipline and who need further graduate credit in communication to meet Higher Learning Commission expectations for teaching the subject. Courses are delivered online, and students can finish within a year, though the university sets no deadline for completion. A grade of B or better is needed for credits to count toward the certificate. Graduates of the certificate may continue into the Master of Arts in Communication, where every certificate course can be applied toward the degree. Applicants follow the same procedures and meet the same acceptance standards as those entering the communication graduate program.
