MA/MS in Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services

PNW's graduate training in couple and family therapy teaches students to provide mental health care through a combined scholar and practitioner approach to systemic therapy. Its design reflects PNW's land grant heritage. The degree combines required coursework, face-to-face client contact hours, supervision and a thesis. Courses begin with a first-year foundation and include contemporary theories in couple and family therapy. The program prepares students to offer relationship-focused mental health care that is ethical, grounded in research and culturally aware, for varied clients, and it is committed to promoting diversity. Applicants apply for fall admission.
