Cert in Accounting and Related Services

The Accounting Certificate teaches the accounting knowledge used across business. Graduates can take entry-level accounting jobs in many settings or continue into the career-focused business associate degree. Students learn to examine, compute, interpret and report financial data, and become comfortable using software for accounting systems that are run by hand or by computer. They also work through the ethical complexities that arise in business. All courses are held on the West Boylston Street campus. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and related associate degrees can be completed alongside the certificate. The program is organized over 3 semesters and totals 27 credits at the low end of the stated range. Tuition is listed at $227 per credit for in-state students and $433 per credit for out-of-state and international students, and some programs carry extra program fees.
