Quinsigamond Community College is a public two-year college in Worcester, Massachusetts, set up in 1963 to widen access to higher education for people in the central part of the state.
Its main campus is on West Boylston Street, with further teaching sites on Federal Street, in Southbridge and at the Worcester Senior Center, and classes run in person, online and in remote formats. The college offers more than a hundred associate degrees and certificates, grouped into nine areas of study: applied technologies; business, financial and hospitality management; computer and information technology; education; healthcare; installation, maintenance and repair technologies; liberal arts and general studies; mathematics, sciences and engineering; and public and social services.
Many degrees are designed for transfer to a four-year school, while others lead straight into a career. Separate workforce and continuing education courses, adult basic education, English-language classes and early college options for high school students sit alongside the credit prograMs. Admission is open and applications are accepted all year with no application fee.
Applicants submit a high school or equivalency transcript or diploma, and international applicants follow a separate process.
Massachusetts residents who meet the state criteria can attend tuition-free under the Free Community College initiative, and the college helps students apply for federal and state aid. QCC does not operate campus housing.
