BA/BS in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Administration

This interdisciplinary degree combines chemistry, biology and pharmacology. Chemical biology applies chemistry to biological problems, and pharmacology studies how drugs act, so the major can be tailored toward drug design, drug action or molecular biology. Majors in the department use a shared computer lab with assigned workstations inside a modern science and engineering building featuring flexible laboratory spaces and collaborative teaching areas. The degree is strong preparation for entry to medical, veterinary or pharmacy programs, and some graduates go on to law school and patent law. Others work in public health or in chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech and scientific instrument sales. Applicants follow the university's undergraduate admission process, and the Common Application and Coalition Application are accepted. The major is customizable, so students can emphasize the area closest to their interests.
