AA/AS in Business Administration, Management and Operations

Business Management at Santa Monica College is offered as a Certificate and Associate degree pathway. Business managers coordinate activities in private industry and public agencies, with duties in operations, maintenance and purchasing. The catalog plan lists semester loads of roughly fifteen to seventeen units, and noncredit certificates can lead into the credit coursework. The college catalog presents the requirements as a semester-by-semester map, with icons that mark courses fulfilling general education, available online, or counting toward the global citizenship requirement. Requirements carry effective dates and may change between catalog years, so prospective students should confirm current details on the official page. Students are encouraged to consult a counselor at the college to tailor the suggested sequence to their own circumstances, since the course order may need adjusting from one student to another over time.
