Overview

Anthropology for Transfer prepares students for an anthropology major at a CSU campus. It explores how cultural, archaeological and physical processes intersect. Students learn fundamental terminology and apply anthropological methods to research questions and real-world issues. Skyline College designed this degree for students who plan to finish a bachelor's at a California State University campus. Finishing it earns a place somewhere in the CSU system, though not at a chosen campus or in a chosen major, and later study at the university stays within a 60-unit ceiling. Applicants aiming at a specific school or at institutions outside the CSU should talk with a Skyline counselor first, since this pathway may not suit them. Every major course needs a C or better. Counselors can help students map the required courses and general education pattern onto a realistic timeline.
